The first snowfall of winter arrived in Central Ohio last week. I’ll be the first to admit that while a fresh layer of snow on the ground and covering the trees is pretty, that’s about as far as my appreciation goes.

The snow and the cold temperatures that followed made our snowbird migration to our Tampa home feel even more welcome—a true escape from the chill.

But here in Florida, the locals have their own way of handling “cooler” weather. Small dogs parade in sweaters during their walks, and some golfers dress as if they’re braving the Iditarod rather than a fairway.

Even though I’ve been here before, there’s just something nice about a change of scenery. It’s a refreshing refuel to see familiar views through fresh eyes.

Sometimes, you just need to find a different perspective. A new vibe. A fresh voice.

Whether it’s in a snowy environment or somewhere warm, as long as you can still build relationships, solve problems, and have fun where you are, things will probably look just fine.
