Do you currently live in your dream home?
If not, what’s missing? Is it the home itself? Is it the home itself? The lot on which it’s built?
If you could wake up tomorrow, both excited and fulfilled with your view and surroundings, what would that look like?

I spent a few hours this past weekend with a few of my “Top Shelf” clients. They are currently in the process of purchasing a vacant lot where they hope to build their dream home. We walked the lot last week and asked the seller lots of questions. We relayed what we learned to the builders my clients are interviewing for the opportunity/responsibility of turning the dreams into reality. The due diligence will continue as each answer leads to more questions, which we hope will lead to more answers. The sketches aren’t even on paper yet but my clients will fall asleep tonight and dream of coming home to their new home.
Pull into the garage. Toss the keys on the table near the door. Walk down the showpiece staircase and amble through the kitchen to pour a cold beer or glass of wine. Slide open the doors to the patio and take the load of the day off your feet and gaze out on the river as it slowly drifts downstream, carrying the cares of the day with it.

Who are you meeting with this week?
Is it a first time buyer who doesn’t know much about the path to homeownership but knows they don’t want to live with their parents any longer? Maybe it’s clients from a few years ago who just left their doctor’s office with an ultrasound that will change their lives forever. You might not be the first call they make…but you’re right there in that next level of people that could impact the next chapter of their lives. Or is it that widow or widower that lived out their dreams, and now needs to help with what happens next now that their co-star is no longer part of the discussion. Perhaps a young investor who knows she’s going to build her wealth through a portfolio of properties that will make her mentor and grandfather proud and jealous all at once.
We don’t just help people buy and sell real estate in our towns. We help them buy and sell real estate in their dreams.
Start Drawing…or Dreaming
You’ve heard it before; The cool thing about a career in real estate is it’s different every day…but the bad thing about a career in real estate is that it’s different every day. The opportunity to help our clients bring their dreams to life is both an incredible reward and a tremendous responsibility.
Remember when you were a kid and you had a big pad of blank paper and a huge box of crayons? You could draw dragons or princesses, army men or alligators, stick figures or smiley faces. You didn’t need lines to stay within.. You could draw anything you imagined.
I guess it just depends on what it is you’re dreaming about?
