This past weekend it was Just Because Day.
This somewhat inane and quirky holiday fell on August 27th but that doesn’t mean the concept can’t last a few days longer. Heck, it’s something we could do all year long. Finally, you have a chance to do something without a rhyme or reason. Most often in life, we do things because we have to, or we want to, or it’s expected of us.
Call someone today…just because.
Write a handwritten letter or note to someone …just because.
Pop by someone’s house with a small gift, some item of value, or just to say “hello”…just because.
Take your significant other out for dinner…just because.
Leave a big tip for your next server…just because.
Buy flowers at the grocery store this week…just because.
Say thanks to your boss, manager, broker, or someone else in a leadership position…just because.
Build relationships, solve problems, and have fun…just because.
I think you get the point. Stop overthinking some of the decisions you’re making…or not making and just do it.
Just because it’s not officially Just Because Day anymore doesn’t mean you can’t do something…just because.
