I have had a few CARP Consultation sessions this past week where the same question came up from some of my agents.
“Am I the only one who is down in listings?”
“Am I the only one who is off compared to last year?
“Is everyone else having issues with their Buyers losing out in multiple offers?”
There’s an old saying that says, “All ships big and small rise and fall with the tides” and that is pretty applicable to today’s real estate market. When the overall market is down in units (sales and listings), it’s no surprise that even the best of the best will be challenged to meet or exceed the last few year’s record numbers.
But instead of worrying about what you’re not doing so far this year, remind yourself of some of the things you can selfishly take control of.
Stay in touch with your past clients? Yep, that’s just you.
Control your schedule so your time is spent focusing on the most practical activities? Yep, that’s just you.
Maintain a positive outlook on business and life? Yep, that’s just you.
Remember, when it comes to having challenges and facing obstacles in this business and life in general, “No, it’s not just you.”
So quit worrying about others and start focusing on building relationships, solving problems, and having fun. Who controls that?
Yep, that’s just you.
