I’m out in Phoenix this week for the Coldwell Banker Generation Blue Experience. It always requires a subtle shift in my mindset when the time zone changes by 3 hours. I left Ohio at 3:15 pm Eastern and arrived in Arizona at 4:15 pm Pacific.
I did my best to stay up late so my body could adjust to the new time, yet I still woke up around 3 am because my body was ready to start the day. After falling back asleep for a few more hours, I felt refreshed and ready to start the day “on it’s time.”
Regardless of the time zone, the day doesn’t get any shorter or longer. The sun comes up in the east and sets in the west. 24 hours from one square on the calendar to the next.
“I didn’t have time” or “I was too busy” just aren’t good excuses.
It might feel a little different on the inside, but wherever your body is, you’ve got to work building relationships, solving problems, and having fun into your schedule.
