If you’ve been on social media this past week, I’m sure you’ve seen some funny memes going around for fake Halloween costumes for various professions or people. Some of them are very funny and others are either patronizing or just plain mean, but hey, that’s what memes are these days. They are a simple way to make a point, create a laugh, or make you think.
Halloween is a huge favorite of younger children because they get to dress up as their favorite character and collect chocolates and other sweet treats. Many adults love the holiday as well because it is a chance to have some fun, dress up in a funny or creative costume, and enjoy neighborhood or community parties.
So once Halloween is over, what will you actually dress up as? Who do you want your customers, clients, and community to see when they see you? Can you dress up as…
A loyal friend?
A hard worker?
A trusted advisor?
Someone who knows their market and has the confidence to tell people about it?
An expert at marketing – both property marketing that educates and inspires, as well as personal marketing that tells a story worth sharing with others?
Maybe you want to look like a professional who shows up early, is willing to work late, and has a good time doing what they do.
While those in the media are trying to wear scary costumes and tell stories that have more fiction than fact, maybe it’s time for you to dress up as the Super Hero your next Buyer or Seller needs.
Instead of candy, you can collect referrals, more opportunities, trust, and commitment from the people who might someday need the services and products you offer.
The good news is my clothes might change each day, but my costume doesn’t have to.
I’m a Realtor, a Speaker, and a Coach. I’m a father, husband, brother, and son. I’m a beer-drinking, sports-watching golfer with a good sense of humor.
I build relationships, solve problems, and have fun.
What are you dressing up as this year?
