There are lots of reasons to reach out to someone. Birthdays, wedding anniversaries, school or business accomplishments, or community questions. Sometimes it might be sickness, death, or tragedy that could make you want to connect with someone.
Maybe you’re calling to say “thank you.”
You might stop by just to say “hello.”
Ever feel the need to tell someone that you love them?
And sometimes, a name pops into your head (or heart) for what seems to be no reason…but we probably all know there was a reason it happened. That seems to be the perfect time to reach out and simply “check in.”
Pop off a quick email.
Send a quick text.
Shoot a DM on social media.
Record a video text to add some enthusiasm or emotion to your message.
Hand write a note or scribble a personal message on a postcard and drop it in the mail.
You never really know how much a random check-in could mean to someone.
So check your phone, check your calendar, check your client list, and check your social media feed. Pretty sure there is someone that would welcome you checking in with them this week.

Sean: some of my best listings and referral leads have come from names that just pop up in my mind or when I am driving and i see a home or apartment building that I think about. I always have a pad of paper in my car (old school) and immediately write down the address. Can’t tell you how many times I have received listings or leads from that call or note. What a great business we are in.

Guy – thanks for being that amazing example of the power of consistency and listening. When blended, you can build a pretty successful business that just might even entice your children to get involved in and find their own success. 😎
