In golf, you could have a horrible day but as long as you have that “one good shot” you’ll be back.
I think that same concept applies to real estate.
In good markets and bad markets, the struggles are followed by challenges, followed by frustration, followed by moments that make you want to scream “WTF????“
But then, something works.
- An offer is accepted.
- A listing pops up out of nowhere.
- A random referral calls you out of the blue.
- Your lender invites you for cocktails.
- A client sends an unsolicited testimonial.
- Your social media post goes viral.
Weeks of “near-misses” turn into “how did that happen?’s” and before you know it, you love what you do again.
Keep Swinging
A client of mine commented to me this weekend, “You sure are always on the go. Does it ever get tiring?“
“Seriously, I love what do so I try to never complain. There are good people and some great opportunities everywhere you look,” I said. “There are also some weird people along the way and some shitty things that might happen but if you try to stay focused on the good (people and things) you’ll usually find the good.”
All you need is one good thing to happen today…or tomorrow…or the next day.
Keep swinging. The one that will bring you back is coming.
