I’ve been sharing my Monday Morning Matches here on Carp’s Corner for almost 10 years. My first MMM post was back in August of 2010. I’ve posted something every single Monday but one since that day. It’s been a nice way for me to stay disciplined and get my thoughts, ideas, and maybe some inspiration “on paper” in a digital world.
Recently our world has been turned a little upside down and inside out with the CoronaVirus impacting almost every part of our lives. The consistency of our careers and communities has been challenged. Rather than eliminate things from our weekly regimens and let anything be taken away, I’m going to add something to the Carp’s Corner rotation…but I’m going to implement a very simple self-imposed guideline; I can’t use any more than thirty words. I’ll try to use exactly thirty. I might use less, but I’ll never use more.
So here’s my first effort. I hope you enjoy it.
There’s Nothing Normal About It
Don’t be lulled into thinking today is some “new normal.”
Instead, Let’s just call it the “now” and create our own normal when we get through this and start anew.

Hi Sean, so instead of a Haiku, you are going to do a Carpku?
