Monday Morning Match is a simple post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.
Let me guess. You’re tired today, aren’t you? Is that because of the daylight savings time change that has it now dark outside before dinner time or should you blame the added calories from the leftover Halloween candy? Maybe you live in Arizona and don’t even change your clocks…because you guys are lucky like that. Or perhaps you’re saying “Leftover candy? No way. We passed out everything we had” or “I am a good parent and don’t sneak any of my kid’s candy that they worked hard to gather during Trick-or-Treat.” Whatever you say, but I’m pretty sure I just saw you yawn, didn’t I?
Look, I get it. It’s been a long year and we’ve hit crunch time. We’re almost able to see the finish line for 2019 and some of us are even starting to plan for the new year but we’ve still got work to do. There are letters and emails to be sent, calls to be made, opportunities to be followed up on, and clients to reconnect with.
Forget about the hour that magically appeared at 2 AM on Sunday morning. It’s already gone and can’t be used again. Chances are if you’re like most people, you were snoring when it showed up as a “bonus hour” anyway, weren’t you?
Whether it’s lighter in the morning or darker by dinnertime, one thing is certain; people will still be buying homes and people will still be selling homes. So let’s stay focused on building relationships, solving problems and having fun and maybe we’ll be the one they reach out to for help with their next move.
