Monday Morning Match is a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.
So, let me ask you – Did you miss me?
Last week you might have noticed there was no Monday Morning Match. For those of you counting, that was the first Monday without a post since August 17, 2010. I really have no excuse, but I was flying all day last Sunday (the day I usually compose these posts) from Charlotte, NC to Las Vegas, Nevada with a long layover in Nashville.
I certainly could have written a post at the airport in Nashville or even on the long flight from Tennessee to Nevada but I didn’t. I could have written the post the week before while I was sitting by the pool with the family enjoying our Spring Break but I didn’t do that either.
It was probably mid-day Monday as I was walking through the hallways of the MGM Hotel and Casino when I realized that I forgot to post something. Sure, I was disappointed. I had built up a pretty good, consistent streak. That’s over 450 Monday’s in a row with a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.
The good news is no one called me to say they were disappointed in me. I received no immediate unsubscriptions. Heck, in all honesty, I wonder if anyone even knew it didn’t show up in their inbox. I’ve always written Carp’s Corner to share my thoughts, ideas, and hopefully a little inspiration with my readers. It gives me a chance to catalog my words out on the web and help others. As one of my marketing
I’ll continue writing and I’ll hopefully be back on track with the next 450+ Mondays. What will you do this week to continue your efforts and commitment in your professional and personal life? How about we both agree to build relationships, solve problems, and have fun.
Imagine how much people would miss it if we didn’t do that every day?

We can let it slip for one week but don’t make it a habit…:)
Unless you ask for permission to take a week off.
