Monday Morning Match is a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.
It’s easy to want “it all.” It’s also understandable when people don’t want to pay for “it all.” Imagine if you could get “it all” for less than “it all” was worth. You’d be interested, wouldn’t you?
On the other hand, what if you were the service provider, vendor, or salesperson that was asked to provide “it all” for less than “it all” was really worth? Remember, it’s not just the value of the product or service itself that determines the worth. Things like knowledge, skill, heritage, tradition, reputation, integrity, and pride are just some of the many ingredients that go into the recipe of “it all.”
The trade-off for “it all” at a cost/price/investment less than what “it all” is truly worth is the recipient is never really getting “it all.” In order to provide “it all” for less, the service provider, vendor, or salesperson would have to give up some of the knowledge, skill, heritage, tradition, reputation, integrity, and pride. If they didn’t give up something, then “it all” wasn’t worth what the cost/price/investment was in the first place.
Confused yet?
You see, the rub comes when you understand that as soon as you give up some of the knowledge, skill, heritage, tradition, reputation, integrity, and pride, you never really gave “it all,” and as soon as you start cutting corners, taking shortcuts, or providing anything other than your best, for less…well, that’s when “it all” stops being what “it all” was meant to be in the first place.
Be the best you can at building relationships, solving problems, and having fun. No cutting corners, taking shortcuts or doing anything less than what is expected.
You’re worth it.
You’re worth “it all.”
