Monday Morning Match is a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.
Baseball or Real Estate?
It’s a competitive career. Not everyone will succeed. It requires skill but it also requires grit, determination, and tenacity. Many people dream of what it would be like to be among the best of the best in the industry, yet so few will ever get to be in that category.
There is no doubt that you will most likely fail more than you succeed, but show up every day anyway. Even though, by definition, it’s the individual contributions that get recognized, being a “good teammate” can really help ensure a better outcome for all involved.
And no matter where you play or who you play with, always treat people with respect. Don’t worry about the stats or the accolades that come or don’t come. If you do what you’re supposed to do day in and day out, you’ll earn the recognition and achievements you desire.
It’s More Than a Game
Former Cleveland Indian and newly inducted Baseball Hall-of-Famer Jim Thome had some tremendous words of wisdom in his acceptance speech. His advice to young baseball players is exactly the same message every hard-working Realtor should be listening to every day.

“In short, it’s about accountability, reliability, and commitment”
Three things that work well in the game of baseball…and a career in real estate. Kind of like building relationships, solving problems, and having fun, huh?
