Monday Morning Match is a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.
It’s no secret that our world has been a little divided of late. Late night shows fail to make us laugh and the morning news never fails to make us sigh. If you think you’re right, someone else thinks you’re wrong. There is no middle ground, only extremes. Society seems to be filled with flame-throwers and snowflakes and nothing in between.
In sales, some people look at every transaction as having a winner and a loser but in reality, if a sale is done properly, both sides win (or at least feel like they do.) In sales, we think a “no” means we lost and a “yes” means we win but in reality, a “no” simply means “not now” or “try again later” and a “yes” usually means we still have work to do; it’s time to deliver on promises, exceed expectations and work every day to become better for our clients, our company, and our industry.
Today I saw the video below on one of my friend’s social network pages. It made me smile and wish that adults could sometimes hit “CTRL-ALT-DELETE” in their mind and restore the innocence and honesty of our youth.

Imagine what could happen if you embraced your demons, faced the things you were afraid of and shared love instead of hate? Heather and Ryan Swan must be so proud of their daughter Charlotte. She doesn’t see color or class or competition. She simply sees someone else her size that needs a hug.
Be like Charlotte this week. Build relationships, solve problems, have fun and hug your fellow man, fellow woman… or fellow mannequin.
Choose treats instead of tricks. Life is sweeter that way.
