Monday Morning Match is a quick post – maybe a quote, inspirational story or idea – intended to spark some motivation inside each of you so your week gets off to a fantastic start on Monday morning.

18970323232_c9f072d2ce_zIt’s a common occurrence in the summer months throughout the Midwest. Thunderstorms are sometimes predicted by the local meteorologists 24 hours in advance while other times, conditions are perfect for storms to pop up out of nowhere. The clouds start to build, a cool breeze blows through the air and the sounds of thunder rumbling in the distance usually gives just enough warning to take cover, roll up car windows or put down the patio umbrellas. Of course if you enjoy the beauty of a good soaking pour, pull up a chair and cold beer at the edge of the garage and watch the rain come rolling in.

Some storms knock out the power, taking down power lines or causing tree branches to fall on electrical wires. Depending on how much rain comes down there may be flooding in the streets. The flashes of lightning are usually followed by claps of thunder. Then, before you know it, the thunder seems further away, the skies grow brighter and the rain starts to ease. The silence is broken by birds chirping and the sound of car tires splashing along the wet pavement.

Thunder in the distance means a storm is coming;

thunder in the distance means a storm has passed.

It all depends on your #perspective

Sometimes we are hit by thunderstorms in our business too. Some storms we see coming and we have time to prepare. We might choose to take cover, pull our things inside and hope it passes without any damage. Other times the storms seemingly come out of nowhere and catch us without an umbrella, hustling for shelter and safety. We get wet and that could leave us angry or embarrassed. If we are paying attention though, they rarely pop up without warning. We will see the clouds started to billow, we will hear the distant rumblings and we might sense a change in the environment. We don’t need to be meteorologists, we just have to be paying attention.

Storms always pass. Some roll by quickly while others may linger. The earth doesn’t stop spinning so new storms will come. They may not be later today or later this week, but they will be coming. Enjoy the calmness that happens after a storm and make the most out of the blue skies and sunshine left in the storm’s wake.

There are relationships to build, there are problems to be solved and there is fun to be had. Go make it happen before the next rain drops start to fall.

However, in case you abuse your listing you are prone to annoy your prospects
and threat having them decide-out of the listing.
